Temple Avodah is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you could be identified when using this website you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
Temple Avodah may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from December 2015.
Our website does not automatically collect any individually identifiable information, such as email address, etc. from visitors.
Our policy is to only collect information that you willingly and voluntarily provide to us in the course of interacting with this site. On this site, you will have the opportunity to update database information, sign up for special events, and make payments and donations. In doing so, you may be asked to provide identifiable information such as your name, address, email address, phone number, credit card information, and/or information about your preferences and interests. We may collect information that is not personally identifiable such as the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are working from, and the domain name of your internet provider (i.e. Time Warner or Verizon).
How the information is used
We require this information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. We may use this information to update internal record keeping; to communicate with you periodically about upcoming events that may be of interest to you; and we may use it to confirm donations or registrations you have made online through our website.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise share our mailing lists with external organizations. Any personal information you provide to www.avodah.org will not be disseminated to any third party organizations. We will not share personal information with any persons other than Temple officers, office staff and clergy, as needed on a need-to-know basis.
Refund and Return Policy
Because of the use of our space and the hiring of sufficient staff are dependent on our reservations and deposits, the following rules for refunds will apply.
For Religious School, we will not discount or refund money for extended absences (due to travel, illness, etc.) nor will we discount or refund money should you decide to take your child out of the school before the end of the year, except for extenuating circumstances, which will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Refunds that are given are at the discretion of the Board of Trustees and/or Executive Board of Temple Avodah. Should you have a question about a refund, please contact the Temple Office at 516-766-6809.
Should Temple Avodah cancel an event due to weather or low attendance your money will be refunded in full.
There is no refund given for dues paid to Temple Avodah.
There is no refund given for donations to Temple Avodah.
